What does ultra filtration do?
Ultrafiltration removes bacteria, protozoa and some viruses from the water.
In the Under the Counter format we provide with this unit a safe affordable option to remove Chlorine Sediment Micro plastic from your water source, and polish the water with the Ultra Filtration Membrane, and to add the Inline Quantum Disinfection T33, it serves as a very good option to use especially when you don’t have space in your cupboard.
Also note that this unit doesn’t alter the mineral content of the water, we recommend using this unit on a good municipal water source only.
- Ultrafiltration (UF): UF membranes are made up of Hollow Fibres that typically filter down to between 0.1 to 0.002 microns, depending on the grade of the Ultra Filtration Membrane. This is small enough to capture/remove fine sediment, particles, proteins, bacteria, and larger organic molecules. Ultra Filtration Membranes will allow dissolved salts, minerals, and smaller organic molecules to pass through the membrane. So the Ultra Filtration Membranes will not change the mineral, salt, or hardness content of the source water in any way.
