Pleated sediment filters have a maximized surface area for filtering large amounts of water at a high flow-rate without losing significant water pressure.
The manufacturing process uses no chemical binders, and filter media migration is low.
Dust, dirt and rust to name a few of the impurities that often end up in your water supply affect your health and appliances around your home and business. A sediment filter removes larger particles, but bacteria, heavy metals and other harmful contaminants still need to be filtered out.
Sediment filters are the first stage of filtration, normally followed by an activated carbon filter.
